Bruges is a lively and modern, yet romantic town that has something to offer for even the most demanding of visitors.

To preserve its countless monuments, the city pursues a low-circulation policy. The best way to savour Bruges's historic splendour is on foot. And make sure to embark on a unique boat ride on the Reien (city canals) or a carriage tour.

The town centre consists of the Markt with the Burg. On the east side is the Provincial Court, on the south side the 13th century Halle. But surely the most impressive building of all is the Belfort with its chimes. The tower offers a splendid view of the city.

North of the town centre is the St. Anna quarter wih the Lace Center, the Jerusalem Church and the museum of the St. Sebastian Guild. You can watch the famous laceworkers bobbin here.

Your visit to Bruges won't be complete unless you've enjoyed the Begijnhof (beguinage) and the Minnewater (Love Water) with its legendary swans.

Before returning you will have time to do some shopping or just enjoy the atmosphere of this delightful town.
