North-Holland tour
Duration: 9 hours       Price:Euro 585
This is a combination of the Amsterdam City, Windmills and Marken-Volendam tours

To start this tour, you will discover beautiful Amsterdam and its many historical buildings and interesting sights, for example: the Royal Palace, the National Monument, the Skinny Bridge, the Flower Market and the beautiful houses along the canals.

Second stop is the village of Marken. Separated from the mainland in the 13th century by a huge storm, it wasn't until 1957 that a dike re-established its connection to the rest of Holland. Marken is renowned for its traditional dress as well as for its tiny domestic interiors stuffed with artistic porcelain and other ornaments.

After that, it's off to Volendam where you can enjoy a delicious fresh fishmeal and stroll through the small and narrow alleys with their picturesque houses. We will also visit one of the very few cheese-factories where cheese is still made in the traditional way.

Upon leaving Volendam, we drive you through a typical Dutch countryside of polders and little canals to our final destination: the Windmill park "Zaanse Schans". Here we will visit a few of the unique windmills that are open to visitors. We will make a stop at the wooden-shoemaker where the world-famous clogs are still made the traditional way. Also located here are a clock-museum, a pewterer's trade and much, much more.
